I’ve been thinking of posting more often than once a week, with something lighter over the weekend. Kinda like Your Moment of Zen from when Jon Stewart helmed The Daily Show.
Plus, Kate McDermott posts insanely entertaining cartoons from the 1930s on her Substack every Saturday, and they always make me smile.
Here’s what I’ve got:
The Bunny Band clip actually appeared in the Child’s Play post last month, but they make me so happy that most mornings I wind them up and watch them make music while I wait for the coffee to brew.
If you can start your day on a positive note, it can set the tone for the rest of the day, which is no small thing these days.
Do you have something like The Bunny Band that can start your day off right? Leave a comment below, and thanks for reading.
Just what I needed. My world needed. When I began the onion cartoon, dark clouds filled the sky -- a snow squall. It lasted for five minutes. When the clip ended, when the onion won over those who had spurned him, the squall left, the sun came out and it has become wonderfully warm in my writing study.
Thanks for that.
How do I start the day? Espresso. A word game or two. Then reading -- you folks here, a book, whatever. I love to get my brain started by others' ideas and thoughts and knowledge and experiences. Makes me appreciate the wildness of people's minds and the courage they, like you, show in sharing.
thanks.
